Strive Counseling Hosts "Kundalini Yoga and Meditation to Release Inner Anger" with Gillian Shapiro.

Gillian Shapiro, of Beech Hills Wellness is a kundalini yoga and meditation instructor based in Tuscaloosa AL. She will guide you through yoga, movements, and a meditation designed to release inner anger, freeing up energy in the body and mind. Let’s not let anger eat us up inside. Instead, let it out using compassionate, mindful techniques to allow us to work with our emotions, feel them, express them and be free. 

Benefits for mental health:

Anger is a natural, healthy emotion we all experience. It’s not “bad” and can be useful in a variety of ways and when expressed constructively. However, if anger is not managed and gets out of control, it can fester inside us if not dealt with.  Expressing anger in a healthy manner so it doesn’t live within the body is important for overall mental, emotional and physical health. Yoga and mindfulness are practices we will use  to work with anger and transform it.
